Description
This small oil painting by John Salvana, captures the banks of clouds, and the shadows they cast above fields with a small river or creek running through it. The name Boggabri comes from the local Indigenous language - in Gamilaraay ‘bagaaybaraay’ means ‘having creeks’. The scene may well be of the Namoi River that runs through Boggabri. This river is the subject of many works by Salvana.
