Description

White Diamond is a wool tapestry wall hanging. The woven pattern is made up entirely of tessellated diamonds in various shades of red. At the bottom of the work, the tonal qualities are dark red and include black, and get gradually lighter and pinker as the diamonds move up to the top of the piece. One white diamond stands out in the middle left section of the work. Liz Nettleton is a renowned Australian tapestry weaver whose artistic practice centres on the exploration of shape, tone and detail.
